Golden Sneakers Brand – sneakers

I’m Isabella Littleford—a dedicated style expert who’s spent years discovering how luxury blends with real-world fashion.

With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the privilege of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and collaborating with some of the most visionary designers in the world. That experience taught me to recognize exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that perfectly combines a distressed, lived-in vibe with luxury-level build quality. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal take on various Superstar variants, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.

If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to guide you through it all with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!

I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where to score deals on them, in the sections below! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!

Where could someone find a pair like yours?

I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.

Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book

How expensive are shoes with stars they?

I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.

Are they true to size?

They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me.

Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.

Are they comfortable?

They only needed minimal break-in time..

How durable are they?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How do they compare to other sneakers?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.

Would you recommend them?

Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also look great.

Discount sources?

Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.

  • GGoose.org – my go-to for these kicks!
  • Gilt – you can sign up for free!
  • Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
  • The Real Real – an incredible source for new or gently used Golden Goose sneakers at fantastic prices
  • Ebay – more great scores on pre-loved pairs
  • @likeabandit – she posts loads of GG deals on her IG stories, keep an eye out

Where did you get them?

Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!

I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

How much do they run?

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

These sneakers typically range from $400–$1,700, depending on how detailed they are.

How is the fit?

I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Is the comfort worth it?

They required minimal break-in time.

Do they hold up well?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.

Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
